As a event curator and sales representative at sneaker boutique store, Likelihood, I had the opportunity to align brands together for special pop-in features.
Bringing on my best friends and my team of creatives, Squad, we hosted a special pop-up installation featuring close friend, Krystian Lorenza's high fashion streetwear brand, Slow Build Heavy Grind.
Highlights of this collaboration:
- Slow Build Heavy Grind x Likelihood exclusive collaboration distressed t-shirts and hoodies
- Likelihood's first time collaborating with a clothing brand on a limited release apparel
- Pop-in attendance 50+ with complimentary drinks by sponsor, Rachel's Ginger beer
About the designer:
Krystian Lorenza is a Los Angeles based designer. Starting as a stylist assistant and costumer for film and television shows, Krystian's encounter with Big Sean influenced him to start his brand, Slow Build Heavy Grind. Since then, the brand has been worn by Chris Brown, Kehlani, The Game, French Montana, & Tory Lanez. All pieces are hand sewn, eschewing traditional mass market production methods for a truly personal touch.
Merging both SBHG garments and Likelihood sneakers, we worked with photographer, Jordan Nicholson to conceptualize a look book shoot that highlighted both brands working together to make one cohesive look.
During the launch of the collection, Puma was releasing new color ways of their softs collection and Blaze of Glory shoe. We wanted to highlight both releases by incorporating solely Puma shoes into the styling of the look book shoot.
SBHG collaborates with Likelihood to release a limited edition distressed t-shit. Highlighted in the shoot alongside the custom t-shirt is the indigo SBHG t-shirt.
From the shoot to the day of the event, the collaboration was a success.
SBHG x Likelihood: a feature of high end streetwear fashion and sneaker scene merging in one space and a social function that brought the local Seattle community together.
