The CRUW is an all-girls dance group based in Seattle, Washington. Formed in 2011, the five-piece ensemble met while practicing dance on the campus of University of Washington, hence the letters "UW" in "CRUW". Unique, innovative, and empowering, The CRUW is a rising entity in the Seattle art scene seeking to to bridge the gap between the dance and music community while adding variety to the pool of local top-choice opening acts for headlining musicians and groups who perform in the Northwest.
All dancers are self-taught in their craft with choreography ascending from different dynamics of hip hop dance including house, funk, waacking, vogue, new style, and more.
Inspiring a new culture of fusion between music and dance, The CRUW's artist motto is outlined in three main points: being the all-around fly girls of Seattle, embodying the hype for women's of the generation, and keeping the turn-up tasteful.
